Camp New Hope is dedicated to providing quality services for people with disabilities, their families and other care providers. Employees work as a team to create an environment in which our clients can relax, learn, have fun, gain self-confidence and independence.

Our camping and respite programs are staffed by an additional 40 seasonal and on-call employees, including nurses, dietitians, counselors and specialists in nature, music, art and aquatic activities.

Nursing Jobs

Benefits: Salaries for full-time nursing positions with our summer resident camps vary per week based on education, licensure and experience. Hourly and on-call wages for part-time jobs are negotiable. Most full-time, summer camp employees live on-site; room and board are free. Child care and housing for families can sometimes be arranged.

Requirements: Current CPR and first-aid certification or equivalent is required for all nursing positions. All staff must be willing and able to meet the direct-care needs of program participants, be physically and emotionally strong and mentally alert, work well with others, and enjoy challenging situations.

For full-time summer camp jobs, a minimum commitment of two weeks plus orientation is required. Camp New Hope is now hiring staff for its summer resident camp programs. Full-time nursing positions (July through August) include:

Full-time Seasonal Jobs for Nurses

Camp Nurse

Health Care Assistant I (4)
Provide direct care to campers, including personal care; monitor special diets; administer simple treatments and first aid; assist camp nurse in providing supportive care for chronic medical needs. APPLY ONLINE or Download Employment Application

Health Care Assistant ll (1)

Part-time Jobs for Nurses

Health Educator (1)
RN, LPN or student nurse to assist with staff orientation for summer Resident Camp programs: Teach basic first aid, CPR, medication administration, and health principals, and how to care for people with seizures, diabetes, g-tubes, and ostomies. 5-10 hours per week. Counselor
Assist with direct care and adapts activities to guests individual needs; ensures a quality experience for all. Prefer at least one year of college. Must be able and willing to meet the direct-care and recreational needs of guests; be physically strong, able to lift at least 40 lbs and mentally alert; work well with others and enjoy being active and responsible. CIT - Counselor In Training
Assists with direct care and adapts activities to individual needs; ensures a quality experience for all participants. Usually a high school student, age 16 or older. Must be willing to meet the direct-care and recreational needs of participants; be physically strong and mentally alert; work well with others and enjoy challenging situations. Lifeguard
Guards in various environments; cleans and maintains waterfront facilities; assists with boating and other waterfront activities; assists with program staff responsibilities; assists with direct care.
